Checklist

Five categories worth gathering first

Driver details

Full legal name, date of birth, license status, and any recent accident or violation history that may affect the conversation.

Vehicle details

Year, make, model, VIN if available, ownership status, and whether the vehicle is financed, leased, or fully owned.

Address and garaging ZIP

Where the vehicle is primarily kept matters for state-specific and ZIP-specific shopping paths.

Current policy history

Whether coverage is active, lapsed, expiring soon, or being changed after a move, new driver, or new vehicle.

Coverage preferences

Minimum limits, full coverage, deductible preferences, non-owner scenarios, or any required SR-22 filing questions.
